At the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford ended Ferrari’s run of victories with a staged one-two-three formation finish, a story retold in the film Ford v Ferrari (2019). Ken Miles, leading at the end, was denied the win on a technicality as the trio crossed the line together.
