When I was a child, my bedroom walls were adorned with posters of sports cars, but one stands out—the shiny black Porsche 911. I would lie awake at night, staring up at that Porsche 964 Carrera, dreaming of the day when I might own one. It wasn't just a car; it was a symbol of success and a goal to strive for.
I did eventually buy a Porsche, however it wasn't the 964. The price of water-cooled Porsches have skyrocketed and most are not within my budget. So I thought I would at least make a print of the 964 Carrera to honour my childhood dream.
Here's what the original looks like:
While making the print, I had a tough time deciding if I wanted to go with the US or Euro spec fog lights configuration. Ultimately I went with the US version with the bumperettes, echoing the original design.
Definitely looks amazing in glossy black paint! Just like the original.
However in true spirit of a remastered edition, of course I had to make a full spectrum of rainbow colour choices. After all, we all have our preference on the "Perfect Porsche".
"Honestly now, did you spend your youth dreaming about someday owning a Nissan or Mitsubishi?" I definitely did not.
